coNteNted....
haha.. so many unexpected things had happened during this period of time.... finally the Taekwondo IVP match is over!!!! my pattern team lost to 3rd placing by 0.15 points... there were 2 judges that were judging us. the 1st judge gives us the highest points among the 5 insititutes but the 2nd judge, gives us the 2nd last point among the rest of the insititutes.... even sp do the wrong pattern, the judge never "-" marks. its our luck ba..
anyway, only took 2 weeks to learn and coordinate wif the pattern, got this kind of results already very happy le... the most important thing is that i enjoy learning and cooperating with the rest of the pattern team members!!! it was fun practising wif them.... esp each of us got diff types of mistakes... kinda miss the bouncing motion that tuna did during pattern.. haha.. o-jang pattern team, GOOD job!!!
hahaha.. its my first time joining the IVP competition and also, join 2 competitions in the IVP... its very tired... but afterall, its worth it... create deeper bonding wif my pattern team members and also wif the instructors who take their time and effort to coach us... THANKS MDM YuYing for taking her precious time to teach us! Thank you!!
of course.. other than pattern team, i took part in Sparring Competition too... its been long since i had a proper sparring session and my stamina is kns loh.. because of the time that had taken up to practise pattern, there is no time for me to train up my stamina.... its been a miracle that i can make it to the last round of the fight.... i think the most important thing in a fight is not about stamina.... i know stamina is important but mentality is the most most important!!!
even though you know that ur opponent is more violent and skilled than you, you cannot be afraid... being afraid, you already lose 50% of your winning chance... i'm lucky that my mentality skill overpower my tkd skills.. haha... my 1st opponent is the same opponent from the friendly match at NTU before IVP.... she's shorter than me... not much stamina too... win her in the match.. =)
2nd opponent, from SP.... a ger same height as me.... this ger i heard from my instructor who has been watching out for me say that she like to hug... but too bad, my fierce face overpowered her in the tournament.. and also, with instructions from my instructor, I issued a hard punch to my opponent's chest, causing her to have difficulty in breathing for a few seconds... felt guilty for a while... but can't say sorry to her in the match... have to keep on fighting... after that, she scare of my punch already... watching my punch most of the times, giving me an opportunity to attack.. =)
went to the last fight for the GOLD medal!!!! this time round, is wif another NTU ger... this opponent defeat my fren... I have to revenge for her... this ger has the same height and size as me... also quite agressive too... this match is consider one of the most exciting match in that day... almost everyone is watching us.... shout like hell also.. of course, NYP tkd supporters were there too.. they shout even louder than NTU..esp my dear dear... wahahha... nice job guys and gers!!! oh ya.. forget to say the rules for the match... one person has to fight an opponent 3 rounds before going to the next match. each round 2 minutes with 30 seconds break in between the match... even though its only 2 minutes per match, its tiring ok.... damn tiring....
yeah.... our scores were tied all the way to the 3rd round.... hence, have to proceed to the 4th round.. this time round, its SUDDEN DEATH!!!! the 1st person to score wins.. 3 out of 4 judges, both carrying a blue and red flag wouLD raise the flag together when they judge the person who score the 1st point... i can tell you... damn damn damn exciting...
in the end.............................................................................................................................................
i WON!!! with the victorious turning KICK!!!! yeah.... made the NTU ppl so mad.. hahahaha.... earn some glory and pride for NYP and of course NYPTKD!!!
yeah.... surprising got a gold... =)
after this competition, i now realise how it is important for the club to have good bonding, motivation and support from the tkd members. NYPTKD, jiAyou!!!
thanks to all my instructors - sir vincent, weisoon and arvin who encourage me during the match.... jia you!! lets bring up the club once again!!!
live life to the fullest whenever you can!!
